Guillem Farres Charges to Fourth Overall in Great Britain
Racing Triumph Motorcycles 23rd jun 2025

Monster Energy Triumph Factory Racing’s Guillem Farres has finished in a fine fourth overall at the MXGP of Great Britain. The Spaniard, competing aboard his TF 250-X at the 12th round of the season, demonstrated impressive pace and consistency to place fifth in both races. Camden McLellan was also impressive, securing seventh overall on the day.

Round 12 of the MX2 World Championship took Monster Energy Triumph to England. The Grand Prix marked the first-ever home race for Triumph, with many members of staff heading south to the Matterley Basin circuit in Hampshire to witness the action.

Having grown up riding hardpack tracks in Spain, Farres was quickly up to speed around the fast, dry, and jump-filled venue. In the opening race of the day, Guillem ran third for a few laps before being pushed back to fourth. Frustratingly, as the race neared its conclusion, he suffered a small crash and lost his position to Camden. Farres ultimately crossed the line in fifth, with high hopes of an improved result in race two.

The second moto started much like race one, with Farres in fourth. The Spaniard maintained his position until mid-race, when he was pushed back to fifth by Andrea Adamo. With a comfortable gap behind him, Farres held strong for fifth and finished fourth overall. The points secured move him up to 11th in the championship, with the top 10 now well within reach.

McLellan enjoyed a largely positive weekend of racing in England. After qualifying seventh, he started ninth in race one and charged hard to finish in fourth. The second moto wasn’t quite as rewarding. With the track now offering little in the way of passing opportunities, Camden crossed the line in ninth for seventh overall. Following 12 rounds, McLellan sits seventh in the series standings.

Following a positive weekend of racing, the team will now take two weekends off before returning to action at the 13th round of the MX2 World Championship – the MXGP of Finland on July 12-13.

Guillem Farres

“That’s the weekend in England over now. I had a small crash in the qualifying race and finished 12th, so that wasn’t the best, but the start at this track is quite fair, so it wasn’t too bad for my gate pick. Both GP races were good. I was running fourth in race one until I had a small crash and Camden passed me. Then in race two, I was running fourth for a while until Andrea Adamo passed me. So, two fifths for fourth overall. I felt good on this track this weekend, and the team did a great job with the bike to prepare it for the dry conditions, so I’d like to thank them a lot for their hard work.”

Camden McLellan

“The home GP for Triumph is done, and it’s been a bit of an up-and-down one. My speed was much better on Saturday, so that gave me a good spot for the qualifying race, and then I finished seventh. My first moto was pretty decent, but the second one wasn’t. I know what I need to work on, so the goal at the next race in Finland is to put everything together.”

Vincent Bereni – Monster Energy Triumph Factory Racing Team Manager

“This weekend was an exciting one for the team, as it was the home race for Triumph. The riders did a good job on what was a tough track, with Guillem fourth and Camden seventh. Both riders had good starts and good speed, so there have been a lot of positives this weekend. They put good points on the board on the hardpack today, and now we have to prepare for the sand of Finland in three weeks’ time to do the same.”
