Triumph Factory Racing's Deacon Denno, a star of the future, has captured his maiden SMX Next podium at the fourth round of the 2026 AMA Supercross Championship. Denno took the silver medal aboard his Triumph TF 250-X.

In what was the second round of the SMX Next series at Houston, Texas, Denno used the power of the TF 250-X to fire out the gate in the SMX Next Main Event. Starting in second place, he soon moved into the lead and held that position for two laps. Denno continued to battle for first but ultimately crossed the finish line in second place – a massive step in his progress towards the professional ranks.

Austin Forkner had an unfortunate crash in Friday's press day and sustained a hand injury that sidelined him for the fourth round of 2026 AMA Supercross. Forkner has returned home to Georgia where he will be evaluated by doctors on Monday. An update on his status will be published in due course.

The 2026 AMA Supercross series now travels back to the West Coast, as Glendale's State Farm Stadium in Arizona is poised to host the fifth fixture next weekend (7-8 February).

Deacon Denno

"It was a good weekend, overall! I'm pumped to end it off with a second place. Qualification was good and then I put my laps together in the main. I just had a better flow than Anaheim 2, so we are heading in the right direction and I cannot wait for Daytona!"

Steve Westfall – Team Manager, Triumph Factory Racing

"Austin crashed on Friday and fractured a bone in his left hand, so he will be evaluated on Monday. We will see the extent of the injury at that point. Deacon Denno, our SMX Next rider, rode well and made progress from last weekend, which was was a positive. He had a great start in the main event and made passes, so we’ll continue to keep building from here.”
