Jordon Smith delivered another gritty performance aboard his TF 450-X at the 11th stop of 2026 AMA Supercross in Detroit’s Ford Field this weekend, crossing the Main Event finish line in 11th place, narrowly missing out on a top ten.

Momentum was captured early in timed qualification, posting the eighth-fastest time in the 450SX division which secured Smith a favourable gate pick for his heat. Utilising the power within the TF 450-X he made his way to the front on the opening lap and impressively led the pack around the Detroit track. After a small mishap, he transferred into the main event via an eighth place.

Smith flirted with another top ten finish in the 450SX main event; he started 13th and pushed to 11th, ultimately coming up just seconds shy of 10th at the finish line. Although ranked 11th, he posted the tenth-fastest lap of the race and used the points to enter the top 20 in the championship classification.

With Jalek Swoll and Austin Forkner recovering with injury, Triumph Factory Racing recently announced that Gage Linville has joined the team to race the TF 250-X for the remainder of the AMA SuperMotocross Championship. Linville is aiming to be ready to make his debut for the team next weekend in St. Louis.

Jordon Smith:

“There are a lot of positives to take from today! We qualified in sixth place in the second session, which was a step in the right direction. We are learning more about the bike with each race that we do. The night show was not exactly what I wanted, but I was happy with the riding. We'll keep plugging away."

Steve Westfall - Team Manager, Triumph Factory Racing:

"Qualification went well with Jordon eighth in the combined result. He had a great start in the heat race, led and then got a bit tight, which unfortunately resulted in a small mistake. We are moving in the right direction and will continue to build on this in St. Louis."
